I’m happy that I can share with you, my feature in the Mollie Makes Magazine Kindness Issue. I was commissioned to do a tutorial, showing readers how to sew their own self-drafted flare trousers.

I was speaking to a fellow creator about my Mollie Makes feature and how uncomfortable I feel sometimes about sharing my achievements. She said to me; when it’s my time to shine, I should take center stage. As black women, we don’t always get the platform to show our talents and capabilities. So sharing accomplishments is a great way to spotlight the work of black women within the sewing community. Diversity matters, especially to those who are under-represented. I was super encouraged by this and I hope you are also.
Gingham Flares
Gingham is the perfect fabric to use to craft your sustainable summer wardrobe. It’s light, breathable and comes in a lot of fun colours, my fav of course being mint green.
